The new way we use water in the bathroom.

INTRODUCTION

Wet Floor

In high-traffic public restrooms, A wet floor could be extremely dangerous. Approximately 25,000 people are victims of slip and fall accidents every day, costing businesses an estimated $84 million a day, according to the NSC.

Blockages

Paper towels can clog waste water systems. Overflowing bins Soiled towels can end up on the floor of busy washrooms, creating a negative impression of hygiene standards.

Empty dispensers

Dispensers are often left empty leaving no way to dry hands.

​

Wasteful

Used paper towels are rarely recycled, so they end up in landfill or are incinerated.

​

Money

Disposable paper towels costing a projected $1,460 annually.

PAPER TOWELS

In the United States alone, 13 billion pounds of paper towels are used each year, amounting to 40 pounds – the equivalent of 80 rolls – per person, per year. According to the EPA, paper makes up the largest share of municipal waste in the US.

TRADITIONAL DRYER

Traditional warm air dryers are slow and insufficient. Which means they’re energy waste, expensive to run, unhygienic, messy and hazardous from water on the floor.

Traditional faucet is simple but imperfect. After using faucet people need to start looking for the way to dry their hands.

Therefore, why not combine dryer and faucet together?

THE RESEARCH INDICATED FAUCET DESIGN WAS NOT ERGONOMIC AND EFFICIENCY.  THE OPPORTUNITY AND START TO BE CREATIVE.

CONCEPTGENERATION

Exploring the relationship of Faucets and Hand Dryers.

Combined those 2 products' form together.

- While washing hands, it provides full functions as a faucets.

- While doing drying process, people could understand how it use without instruction.

Provide Maximum Convenience and Safety in the restroom

Meanwhile, Focusing on the Accessibility on the product

This design mainly focus minimize the spaces and provide maximum performance. In order to save space and energy.

Prototype TWO.

This design try to combine all necessary parts together into A Faucet. Including hand soap dispenser, traditional faucet, and hand dryer. Water would came out from different outlets of the middle gap with mixing temperature. 

Meanwhile, Air Vent on the below of the faucet would provide maximum performance.

This design maintains the traditional faucet design. Without any weird design, which cause any confusing during using process.
